Communicating with Cartoons March 10, 2010

The opportunity has recently arrived for a personal journey into the land of cartoon communications. I have explored this way of writing before, but usually as a component of a presentation. So the cartoon was safely wrapped by a lot of “serious” material. If the cartoon did “flop”, then it would likely not damage the core message of the presentation. This time it is different.

Using a cartoon, or in my case, a cartoon series, as the entire container for the message is quite different. The purpose here is story telling. Writing the descriptive white paper is not meeting the objective.

So as I venture into the realm of Dilbert-like sarcasm, with a different cast, will the message be received? Just like the recent comments in the Academy Awards, “its all about the story”.
